Pyrebound
This is a prototype, published and updated for free on itch.io with the aim to gather player feedback. It is rough around the edges and may contain bugs or crash unexpectedly. ___ The game uses GameAnalytics to track player actions and gather anonymous data about your play sessions. This is OPT-IN and can be changed in the game settings at any point.
Every ember counts.
In Pyrebound, you are the last beacon against an endless night, restoring light and hope to a suffocated world.

Build and maintain magical Pyres. Towering infernos made from the bodies of the fallen Desiccated that push back the devouring darkness and aid in your fight. Every foe is both danger and resource. Every Pyre you construct is both a strategic weapon and a temporary lifeline against the deadly shadows that will reclaim everything.
Explore the unknown. Venture into pitch-black territories where light itself has to be earned and fought for. Uncover the secrets that hide in the miasma and illuminate the mystery behind the calamity.
Gather Hope. It's not just a word here, it's a gaping hole in the world, it holds power and purpose. Find and collect Sparks of Hope in the world around you and bring them back to the survivors huddled in the last safe places. If you can strengthen their resolve again, they will aid you as well.

A game for players who enjoy dark fantasy and strange sci-fi with fresh, experimental mechanics. If you've seen the same familiar adventure formulas and want something that makes you reconsider what it means to survive, try Pyrebound.

Pretty interesting game. Definitely a cool concept making your survival mechanic also a weapon. That being said, would be good to explain that the having the swords hit the fires makes them attack the floating guy. Also got an index out of bound error after killing it.
Hey Dervsy! Thank you for trying out the prototype. Glad you found the mechanic interesting. It still has a long way to go in terms of gameplay variety but if it was able to hold you for long enough to actually beat the boss, I'm counting that as a win. :D
